I'm assuming it's an allergic reaction but why is it happening with a lot of fruit?
I've eaten watermelon, grapes and apples and they all give me the same reaction. :[How come when I eat fresh fruit my gums become crazy itchy and my lips get slightly swollen?
Something in the fruit you are allergic to or the spray they use on it. try washing the fruit real good.....If it still happens then you are allergic to something in the fruit. How come when I eat fresh fruit my gums become crazy itchy and my lips get slightly swollen?
In 1998 out of the blue I had a reaction to a bananna where my lips swelled and throat closed. Now over the years it's kiwi, avacado and now yesterday cherries. I had never had a problem. The symptoms for everything but he cherries were the same. The cherries gave me a stomach ache a hour after and my body started to itch, my palms of my hands, ears. Still today my hands are numb. My belief is it is the chemicals during the farming process. my allergist said she had never heard anyone being allergic to bannana's.
Sounds like you are allergic to it, or there is to much acid in the fruit. I cannot eat pineapple. You may try 1/2 to a teaspoon of just plan old baking soda before eating it %26amp; see how that does, %26amp; don't eat as much.
The baking soda helps to absorb the acid in the fruit.
Check with your Dr. for I would be concern about the lips swelling.
Be blessed :) !
The same thing happens to me with apples and bananas. My doctor says im allergic and that I could develop a latex allergy because the peel of the fruit has similar components to that of latex. When I am craving one of those fruits though, I take a bite and wash it down with lots of water! :)
normally everybody is allergic to some form or another regarding the chemicals farmers use to keep away insects like sulfurs.i have the same problem just wash them thoroghly if it happens again take a benadrill antillergy medication or zertek also works but it costs more it works for me.
You could be allergic to to the fruit sugars. It happended to me w/mandarin oranges the other day. Tingling of tongue and tingling and swelling of lips. I won't eat them anymore or reaction could be worse w/subsequent exposures. Be careful.
Same thing happens to me if I eat apples, mangos, kiwis, blueberries, and many more fruits.
Oranges, strawberries, and bananas are 'safe fruits' for me.
Just avoid the ones that make you itch. Like you said it's an allergic reaction.
Possibly allergic to fruit.
Do you get eczema?? If you do its probably just the acid in the fruit you are reacting to.
Get tested for the fruits that do that to you. A Simple Blood Test will give you the results you need. See an allergist.
You must have some type of fruit allergy....
Go to the doc. they may give you a presciption
Good luck to you XD
your allergic to fruit.

You're allergic to them, don't eat it.
Do you wash the fruit first?
sorrry that stinks. I guess you'll have to start eating veggies.
