Why do lips get more dry during the Winter season?

Why do lips get more dry during the Winter season? Why do lips get more dry during the Winter season?
It's colder outside, more wind and less humidity, less consumption of water and other liquids and of course the air inside is a lot drier and less humid because of heat. That's enough reasons for mine to be dry. Need a good moisturizing lip gloss. Chap stick doesn't really do it. Try a different brand. Why do lips get more dry during the Winter season?
The air is dryer and artificial heat makes the air even dryer. plus the wind makes your lips chapped as well
Humidity is the answer. In the summer the air carries a lot of moisture, whereas in the winter, it carries only a fraction of the amount it carries in the summer. In the indoors, although the extremes are not as great, we are usually under the optimum humidity in the winter and over in the summer.
WINTER AIR IS DRYER AND WITH THE FURNACE ON IT'S DRYING. JUST USE MORE LIP CONDITIONER AND YOU'LL BE FINE.
Because winter season is much more drier than summer, and the lips don't get enough mosit, so that's why they dry more. Also, because winte ris very cold, and the lips don't have as much protection against the cold as other body parts
very dry house heat as well as cold dry wind
