My brother, who is in a nursing home, kissed a small child on the lips after meeting her. He has now been charged with sexual abuse. Is the correct? He didn't mean anything wrong.If a stranger kisses a child on the lips in greeting is this considered ?

I would say ABUSE is rather far, harassment at the most is appropiate.You really have to think how that affected the young girl, even if he didn't mean anything wrong. My grandfather had Alzheimer's and sexually abused me. Even though he ';didn't mean anything wrong';. It's complicated.If a stranger kisses a child on the lips in greeting is this considered ?
In most cultures you only kiss your sweetheart or your spouse on the lips, although I'm told that it is acceptable to kiss family members in this way in North America and I was reading in the paper the other day about how this is a growing trend in the UK among comparative strangers upon being introduced (I hope this doesn't catch on permanently!) I remember years back a naughty little Mauritian child rushing up to me and kissing me on the lips and his parents being acutely embarrassed and apologising for his bad manners. However, here the boot is on the other foot and your brother kissed the child. The best thing he can do is to explain what cultural or other reasons were behind this and get other people to come forward to back up his explanation.

Well my school was an all-girl school until the current year7's came up from primary school, who are mixed. Anyway, the teachers get really funny about ANYTHING to do with an older girl and a boy, one girl got excluded because she bumped into a boy in the corridor and he scratched his leg on the carpet, and a girl in my year is actually getting done for sexual assult because she HUGGED a boy.


It's like people in my school want us girls to be completely isolated from the boys, it's pathetic that they don't realise probably less than half of those boys are virgins anyway nowadays...
