How can I make my lips more moist besides coating it using chapstick?

My lips recently became extremely dry and stiff this season. It feels disgusting! i tried using chapstick or Vaseline and it made no difference at all.

How can I cure them? How can I make my lips more moist besides coating it using chapstick?
Dry lips are usually due to dehydration, which is why you should consider drinking more water (between 6-8 cups a day or more if you can). Since this will help in the long run and you probably want a quicker solution, I suggest you rub olive oil on your lips in the morning and before you sleep.

Also if you have pieces of dry skin on your lips sticking out you can mix the olive oil with salt and rub that on your lips for about 30 seconds and wash it off, then put the previously mentioned layer of olive oil without removing.

Hope that helps!

ps: If you don't have olive oil you can use other kinds but olive oil is preferred. Also, this is to be done in conjunction with drinking water.

First of all, DONT ever lick them. Second, chap stick usually works if you use a good one...try Blistex. Also, using lip gloss helps b/c it keeps it moist so you dont lick it or anything. Gooood luckkk =)
This could be a sign of dehydration, so make sure you drink plenty of water.

You could ask your local pharmacist what he/she would recommend for this.
drink plenty of water. dehydration causes dry skin/lips
