Why does my lips get chapped and dry so easily?

I have to drink about 7-8 drinks everyday otherwise my lips get dry and soared instantly. Why is it so??? Why does my lips reacts so fast? Is it because of lack of water or any other deficiency? Why does my lips get chapped and dry so easily?
I had the same problem a few months ago, it lasted for maybe a few weeks. It got to the point where I couldn't part my lips enough to eat or talk, so I went to the doctor, who told me it was probably a severe allergic reaction of some sort.

Here's what helped:

Benadryl every 8 hours (or whatever it says on the box)

Lots of water

Don't lick your lips, then they'll never get better

First, use Vaseline as a chapstick, and once your lips stop being so sore and dry, you can switch to a brandname chapstick.

Stay away from...

Fruity Flavors

Glitter

Coloring

Fragrance

Beeswax (in alot of them).

Since my ';reaction'; I've been using Softlips chapstick daily. It's good cause it's mainly vanilla, and not many preservatives or bad stuff. Why does my lips get chapped and dry so easily?
Drink as much water as you want to drink. Maybe it's dehydration.

And use a dry-lips-lipstick.

Dehydration is also NUMBER 1 factor for fatigue in most people. In this aspect, many people mistake it for lack of sleep.
